4th of July at Balboa Park

Hubby, Hal, and I all dressed up for the 4th of July program in Balboa Park. I played my musical saw and the audiance seemed to enjoy listening and singing along with some of the melodies.
Laura has helped me to add a small sample of the music the saw makes for those who choose to hear it. Some say it sounds "SPOOKY", mostly young children think so. Hope you enjoy it!

You and Laura are so smart; I can never get a video to embed on my blog!

I hope you will put more clips of your playing your saw, I just love hearing you play!

Hi Barbara,

You are so cool!
I wonder how long you've been playing the saw.
I love your dress, too.
If ever you happen to visit NYC in July... we have an annual musical saw festival (you can see info here: www.sawlady.com/musicalsawfestival.htm ) - it sure would be great to have you perform there!

All the best,

Saw Lady

I loved the song !! I can't imagine how one goes about learning to play a saw. I wish we had grown up closer, geographically, so you and your mom could have taught me how to dance and paint and do fun stuff like that. (OK, I really don't need another hobby, but it looks fun).

I'm so glad you are blogging. It is such a cool way to keep connected. I hope you have been able to check out our blogs.... they get kind of silly sometimes, but life is easier with a smile. Love, Charlotte
